Update: So, I posted a comment on dA's Facebook page about it, so let's hope they read it and get their butts in gear. This is really starting to get seriously annoying... the spammers are going to OLD images of mine now and posting comments on those.
What the heck do they hope to even gain? I'm willing to bet it's all for annoyance factor but good grief... stop it already.
To those who haven't had this kind of thing happen (yet), consider yourself fortunate. It's not fun having to report multiple comments of nothing but weight loss and fake jobs spam...

Also: I am so severely sorry if somehow by some weird circumstance my account is a link/gateway to spam comments. People seem to be commenting about 'right after I read this I got a spam comment' which makes me wary that somehow this journal is linked to spam comments.
Unlikely but... Still... Ugh.

EDIT: All of a sudden Duality (2012) -Moeteimasu- by NinjaKato gets bombarded with fight spam messages! 50 minutes after is uploaded?! JEEZE! STOP IT ALREADY, GAHD! That is REALLY REALLY REALLY starting to get on my nerves. EVERY. COMMENT.

dA... please get a better filter for your 'spam bot' problem
Seriously.

I'm getting sick of all these "Be your own boss! Try here! [link]" and "I earned $800 today from home! [link]" comments on bot only my work but also other peoples work as well. It's just sickening up ridiculous this has gotten.
I saw an image yesterday that was chock FULL of flipping spam comments. The whole first 2 pages of comments were nothing but spam comments from different accounts but all the same basic 3-4 comment charades.

I get it, it's difficult to stop them entirely but good grief. They're getting a bit out of hand now...

Normally it wouldn't bother me if there was one or two occasionally as no website is immune to the spam hacks but man alive this issue has been going on for months now and it doesn't seem to ever stop or lessen. The subject matter that's sent in comments does; now it's fake ass job offers (which are all mostly links to hack/phishing/virus sites).
At least they're not all the advertising free kiddie porn ones now, thank heavens.
Although those still get through somehow...

Blahblahblahblahblah... bitchwhinebitchwhine... I know.
Still... I can't be the only one that's bothered by seeing other people's artwork being spammed to high heaven with fake links and stuff. It's not even my own work but it bothers me to see it happening to others.
Eventually I hope they do something about it.

If you do see those stupid comments, don't click the links no matter how 'real' or convincing they look. If they have 'bit.y' or '.co.m' or '.gen' anywhere in them... DON'T click them.
I know y'all aren't stupid but some people may not know what's up so this warning was for them.
Don't click links unless you know what they are and who they came from.

Sorry for the vent. No I'm not mad just a bit miffed by the spam parade unfolding on dA lately.

/rant

EDIT: Oh look... after posting this I just got a few more! Now they're telling me I need to lose weight. Thanks.
Sadly...If I actually lose anymore weight there will be none of me left .__.

The spam bots tend to target new and popular deviations.
They also only post 27 comments before they are dumped (for dA to deactivate) and a new one is created.

They are working on it -[link] < just thought I'd let you know. Keep in mind there's only so much any place can do about spam, you have to report them all to get any progress of it stopping, and even than they will probably make a new account and start all over, so it's an endless cycle, just like art thieves. But at least they are trying, only way they may be able to stop it completely is if they could get their IP addresses and block the IP's. But if say any are hacker's they can change their IP as many times as they like. -_-

yeah. I have learned these have viruses in them from experience. I got my top and my moms lapp under quarantine and had them taken to a guy my dad knows well to fix them. I still never forgave myself for that ;;

Luckily I haven't had any spam lately. I've had some in the past that say you can loose weight and all that crap. When I see those I just think, wow, really? I just hope this mess gets fixed.

I know, DA needs to learn what capcha is, so we can have a starting point to banning them

I've noticed the spam parade too. My moirail (Friend that I love like a sibling) posted a pic that got 9 fucking comments, all of them spam ._.

I haven't clicked any yet, because I'm always afraid it'll be porn eAe

What I do is I just label it as spam and move on. If they get noticed on Google or whatever, oh well, I don't give two fucks.

Normally I wouldn't click those, however, I posted up a free lineart once and all they said was "Cool! Click here [link]"
I assumed they were just linking me to their coloured version. Sneaky brats.
As far as I know though, it didn't lead to viruses (I hope...)
