Yes, I take requests from other deviants. Of course the only thing I can't do is already copyrighted characters. However I can do your OCs, if you've got any. If you'd like, I can also build a model car for you(It's my other hobby)...Just note me your mailing address and the kind of car you'd like.
I'll do them for good friends or people I'd like to do one for. XD Same thing with art trades and such. Commissions are my main focus like a lot of people I guess. XD Funny thing is the only real requests I get are for game presets.
I do when I have time for them, but only certain types of requests. I don't draw OCs, for example. This way I wont get bombarded with requests because most people are just want free pictures of their OCs. The best part is that so far none of these people haven't been my watchers, commented or even faved my art. They just except free stuff for nothing. Years ago I would have done requests, as when people offline asked me to draw things for them I happily did so, because I got practice drawing things I wouldn't probably otherwise have drawn. Plus those people didn't expect anything more than a mediocre 5 min doodle of their favourite animal or something, not full colour illustration worth $100+ that takes hours of hard work.
I opened some back in October but it was a mistake haha. I felt like drawing but didn't have ideas which is why i opened them. people didn't respond as quickly as I thought and i no longer had motivation to draw by the time I got a request. now these people have been waiting since October for free sketches.... I feel like an ass because I haven't done them. I need to draw but don't have to motivation @-@ idk what to do
I do I usually do them for watchers, or when I feel like drawing a certain thing (say cats) I make a journal or forum post. Sometimes I do "fan art" of random people/ people I watch characters but rarely. Mostly though I do them for friends and watchers
only when i have art block(which it rare) I don't think I can do request anymore. Due because I need commission to pay off tuition for college. And I do trades because I want more people to draw my OCs
LOL no, fuck that. I put much effort into my work. I do gift art sometimes, but rarely. Commissions aren't open either. I'm not good enough for that, but I have enough esteem in my art not to give it away for free.
I wish I could but it just comes down to not having the time or energy. There are so many things I want to draw for my friends and I simply can't. I don't know why but I have this mental block with requests and giftart... Like even if I have the time it's so hard to push myself through it unless it's personal to me. It's actually hard for me to do commissions sometimes, because if I don't feel it I can't seem to draw it. So I don't until I do because I don't want to give them crap. Works with commissions and gifts/requests.
I will sometimes offer them when I know I have time for them, but I always reserve the right to deny them if I either don't want to draw the creature (usually humans) or the request is a little excessive. I usually do them for friends though. But I never worry about time, if I accept one I always do it, but since it's just a request my policy is that I can take as much, or as little, time as I like.
I don't necessarily take requests but recently I took suggestions on what characters to draw from one of my favorite series in a journal post. I don't do personal characters however, unless it's a trade, commission, or as a gift. I would rather focus my time and energy on art to get something back, ya know?
Yes, I do them for anyone and everyone. It's a good way to get past artist's block, if I ever get it, and I'd rather do requests than commissions. Yeah that sounds a little weird, but I'm just uncomfortable with the idea of commissions, while I still have the opportunity to turn down a request, or put them on hold if I'm too busy.
