How do you give critiques?

After I tell them the positives, I tell people what could be improved and then give them some ways as to how they could improve or make those areas better.
I tell them what is wrong with their work and let them figure out what they could do to fix it.
I tell them their art sucks and that they should get better. (FYI: That isn't a critique.)
I prefer to do redlines for people and then tell them what I did so they can follow along.
I don't do critiques.

A teacher once taught me to do a 'praise sandwich'- you say something positive, then you say how they can improve, then you end on something positive- that way it's almost like they dont realise that you've critiqued them! XD
