The adoptable community is a funny one. Buyers are very specific about the designer, palette, markings, art (base or original art), anatomy, species, etc. As an active buyer myself reading comments on the spending habits of others is funny as the opinions on some comments that I've read are indirectly about buyers like myself who yes, have spent well into the high hundreds for a design. While I am willing and have spent a great deal on a design it's pretty seldom that I get higher then a few hundred. I'm picky in a way I can't explain. I have preferences and I have turn offs that determine if I will buy a design or how much I'm willing to spend for it. A design can seem simple but if it's a solid design and is executed just right to the right audience then I can see it go for a high amount easily. The designs I own are not necessarily that complicated but because they were made just right and appealed to me perfectly I bought them and a handful I spent more then one paycheck for.

I do agree that it's a shame that some struggle so much to just get a few dollars out of a design while others can easily brings in hundreds with just one. Ideally it would be nice if everyone were paid fairly for their work but the adoptable community is a very competitive market, more competitive then I feel more realize and the buyers are complicated people with quirks I couldn't even explain. It's a strange, interesting market indeed. :'D
