GENERAL:
Bullet; Black Complaints about pricing are never appreciated nor are they warranted, no matter how high it is.
There's a reason for the price to be as it is and it's not because I'm looking to live a minted lifestyle. If you personally cannot afford to pay for something, you're not obligated to. Commenting about how high and 'ridiculously priced' something is doesn't send a message of logic or positivity into an artist's life. Your comment of "GOOD GOD THAT'S EXPENSIVE!" is both unnecessary and rude. You can think it, but you don't have to say it.

Bullet; Black Beast adopts are always one of a kind as I like to make each one unique. This means I won't be making any two exactly the same.
As such, please do not ask if I can make you one just like another and do not ask if you can have someone else make one just like one you saw. If I find out you asked someone to make a copy of a preexisting adopt I've sold to someone else, I will inform them of the mistake and you will have to answer to them as to why you messed up -- You have been warned.

Bullet; Black I do not mind similar colour palettes or markings on others' adopts as it can happen sometimes. However, refrain from flat out copying my adopts!
Look, I get that similar ideas can happen and it's hard to be unique in a world full of like-minded individuals, believe me; artists eternal struggle. However, I know my adopts and I remember each and every one. This means I will know if and when one is being outright copied. I wish I didn't even have to mention this but as it has happened several plus times now, it needs to be said. Do not copy my adopts outright, not even in admiration or appreciation. It's not appreciated to have mock-ups of things I have sold to people mucking about; more so also being sold.

Bullet; Black I try to keep my adopts interesting but I also understand there is a niche market for what people like and what sells. This means that some adopts may adhere to this a bit more.
I don't aim to be redundant and I have had people tell me I draw too many quadrupedal wolf-like/cat-like adopts, but this is what my audience likes and as such in selling you do have to stick to a somewhat reliable pattern if you are to sell anything. It's not a means to be boring or not break the mold, it's just how business works.

Bullet; Black I do not draw/sell pre-owned closed species -- Tokotas, Grem2s, Weavers, Varyons, Felvargs, Arcanus, Sushidogs, Mantibabs, Renfairs, etc. So please, do not ask for them?
The only time I will make an exception is if I am told directly by the maker of the species it's okay OR if the species definitely open for creating by others. This does not apply to MYO events as I believe those are specifically for an individual to make their own of that species, not pay someone else to make one.

Bullet; Black I am not in the market of making adopts just to be purchased for trades.
However, if you adopt an adopt and keep it for a while and then trade it for another, as long as that was not the initial reason, I'm fine with this being done. While I understand that in many cases people buy adopts as means of currency of sorts to enable trades for other species/adopts, I am not overly fond of this kind of thing. I make adopts for people to enjoy and make their own, not as a means for easy money. While I can understand that sometimes someone will get bored or just not click with an adopt they buy from me and therefore want to trade it off for another they do like more, please refrain from buying an adopt from me only to try and pawn it off to get another.

Bullet; Black I will NEVER flat out knowingly copy another closed species -- This is important to understand.
However, one must understand that again, coincidences happen and while I have to be tolerant of this rule with others, you must be as well. Not every big fluffy canine is a Tokota, not every two legged bird creature is a Grem2, and not every deer looking creature is a Weaver. I respect others who make species and try to avoid making anything too similar when possible, but sometimes it's hard when using the same basic animals/creatures as a basis for an adopt.
Dragon-type adopts can sometimes resemble another you've seen if they are using the same basic dragon-type as a basis as well as canine adopts can sometimes mirror one another if they use the same basic species as a basis.
This does not mean, however, that if something is seriously way too close that something cannot be said about it -- But I would prefer that the original species maker be informed first so that THEY can make the assessment rather than several other well meaning fans blowing up the comments in heated accusation.

Bullet; Black I write everything down -- Meaning I know who is buying what and who owes what -- Meaning, you cannot fool me.
In the past there's been issues of keeping tabs on what is owed, who is owed, who owes me, and what they owe me. As such I have taken to writing everything down to ensure I know what is going on.
This means you cannot try to say "I paid that!" when both my notes and Paypal say otherwise. I've no issues with providing proof of lack of payment in cases when necessary. I also have no issues with being told what I owe someone if I somehow forget; it's not unheard of, but I try to avoid it when possible.
At any point should someone try to deny, lie, or cheat out of a payment/payment plan they will be blacklisted.

Bullet; Black Voluntary deactivation of your account(s) does not absolve you of a payment/payment plan.
If anything it will put you immediately on a blacklist and if you do not contact me as soon as possible, you will be written as a scammer. More so if your username(s) are found to be marked as such by others. Accidents happen and I understand that, but I have had people deactivate their accounts and not pay for something. Doing this means you will face the consequences. There will be no getting mad or upset at me about this as you would be the one who ran away from paying someone for their work.

Bullet; Black There will be a 12 hour bid lock on the winning bid for any Adopt auction.
A 12 hours seems more than a legitimate time to realise whether or not you are able to pay your bid or not. If you can't and something legit comes up and if you inform me within the 12 hour time frame then the bid will be unlocked and it will go to the previous bidder.
Locking the bid doesn't mean "YOU WILL PAY NO MATTER WHAT!" It means the winner will have 12 hours to deduce their finances and let me know whether or not they can actually pay their bid.
I have found that most of the times people backed out was when it was 24-48 hours later, when I was unable to get back to them right away. Usually people who win auctions are the ones to get back to me first within 2-10 hours of my letting them know they won, if not sooner as they're watching the bidding thread -- and if by chance they can't pay, they let me know asap, not 24-48 hours later, which throws everyone off, including other bidders.
The 12 hour rule is there to benefit bidders as well so they have time to check and make sure they can pay and so I can be sure someone is serious and not playing around. Locking the last bid for 12 hours is like holding a car for someone so they can get all their money figured out. If they have the true intention of buying they'll do so quickly, if not then there's a 12 hour window to let me know. If they don't/can't then the creature will automatically go to the previous bidder.
This will also hopefully stop people from nagging about 'who won?' and how 'it's not fair!' -- as they do if you forget to put on a snipe guard.
After 24 hours I will contact you again and inquire about payment -- If you do not reply then the adopt will go to the previous bidder.

RESELLING ADOPTS
Bullet; Black Please consult with me first before reselling your adopt as I may want to re-purchase the adopt from you.

Bullet; Black You can always sell Beast adopts and random adopts for the price you purchased them for.

Bullet; Black You may not resell any adopt for more than you bought it for UNLESS it comes with extra artwork which you purchased as commissions or accumulated via art trades or requests. Extra artwork of the adopt you bought/own can be in included to up your asking price.

Bullet; Black This also means my own closed species such as Jade Kitsunes, Dervish Lupes, Felisprites, and any other closed species I make/create and sell adopts as may not be resold for a higher price than what you bought them for.
If you are seeking to resell these, ask me first.
If you're buying an adopt of a closed species I do not own, you will have to ask or look up the TOS on resales for that species by the species owner. I do not hold grounds or responsibility for other people's species' rules. Please understand and respect that.

Bullet; Black You may not resell any adopt for more than you bought it for on another website. -- Seriously... Don't be sneaky.
This includes sneaking off to some place like Instagram, Furaffinity, Facebook, or Chickensmoothie to try and sell for more money.
That's not right since it still violates the rules.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PURCHASING ADOPTS
Bullet; Black Payment must be made within 48 hours after winning an auction or asking to buy an adopt.

Bullet; Black All payments are in USD format (it's just easier) and should be paid through Paypal -- unless otherwise stated in the description.

Bullet; Black Do not ask to buy or bid what you cannot afford -- Check your funds ahead of time to ensure that what you are asking for is something you can actually afford to pay for.

Bullet; Black Refusal to pay (no matter the reason) will result in blacklisting and the adopt will be put up to be resold.

Bullet; Black  ALL PAYMENTS ON ADOPTS ARE FINAL -- There will be no refunds or charge backs once final payments are made in full. By accepting a PayPal invoice you agree to this and any false charge backs will be disputed to the full extent.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PAYMENT PLANS:
Bullet; Black You must ask for the allowance of a payment plan ahead of time, not days/weeks after you wish to purchase something.

Bullet; Black The new limit on a payment plan on the amount of $100-$300 is 3 months. If you cannot manage this DO NOT ask to buy something. -- I cannot wait months, and months, and months for a payment these days.
Some cases I may not accept a payment plan, and I usually have a reason for it.

Bullet; Black Any cancellation of a payment plan in the midst of paying one will lead to immediate blacklisting and no refund will be given of the already paid amount.

Bullet; Black I understand that life happens and things come up rendering payments a bit harder to make. However, you must inform me of this as soon as possible so I know.

Bullet; Black The limit on payment plans of $100 is $50 every month.

Bullet; Black The limit on payment plans of amounts higher than $200+ is $75 every few weeks.

Bullet; Black Since I rarely ever sell adopts over $200-$300 there's no set amount on a payment plan for these and for the sake of understanding when I do sell them for this much I want them to be for keeps, I usually won't accept payment plans unless someone really wants the adopt but can only afford a payment plan.

Bullet; Black Any and all payment plan agreements will be signed for in a contract binding the person to pay. Should something arise we will discuss what is to be done via note or email.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CUSTOM DESIGNS/ADOPTS:
Bullet; Black I will do custom design adopts but I must be given a specific colour palette to work with as well as a species (or several), and preferred/specific markings you'd like on your adopt. Details are appreciated to ensure the design fits what you have in mind.
The price will be greatly dependent on how complex the design is and how much you'd like drawn of the creature/adopt.
Reference sheets will always range higher as more images will be drawn -- Prices ranging from $150-$450.00
For singular body drawing alone it would be about $150.00 -- Adding a head bust would make it $200.00 -- any other specifics after that (eye details, paws/feet, mouth, etc.) would bump the price to $250+ -- adding more than one full body would up the price even more.
Details and the amount of drawings will always determine the price.
All details and prices should be discuss ahead of time and should be sorted and fully established before the drawing process begins.

Bullet; Black Custom adopts/designs will be paid after the initial sketch is approved. This means that I will sketch up the basic idea for your adopt and if you approve the sketch I will ask for payment (the first payment must me given at this time if a payment plan has been established beforehand).

Bullet; Black I will do 2-3 adjustments if you're unsatisfied with the initial sketch and more specific information on what exactly you would like should be given at this time so I can better understand what you are looking for.

Bullet; Black As many details as you can give for me to work with is always appreciated when creating/making a custom design/adopt. Please, do not be sparse with the details!

Bullet; Black Any refusal to pay after the initial sketch is completed will mean blacklisting. If a sketch has been done the first payment must be sent -- even if you cancel after. The work that has already been done will be paid for; no exceptions

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I figured it was about time I posted something like this as I have had some misunderstandings about several topics about payment plans, payments, custom adopts, etc.
I hope this helps alleviate any confusion and gives a somewhat clear view on things?

legitimate question that i don't intend to sound in any sense like complaining or challenging your guidelines:

Under 'Reselling Adopts', where it's indicated that whomever has bought one but can't resell it at an escalated price; if they've bought it and now own it, can't they do with it what they want and in doing so decide how much they would want to sell it for? i understand there's dick-heads out there that would try to screw people over for more money, but essentially isn't that their decision and their right to do so after purchase?
